InterContinental Kiev Appoints New General Manager



InterContinental Kiev announces the appointment of Jean Baptiste Pigeon as new General Manager. Jean Baptiste joined InterContinental Group (IHG) in 1983. He undertook his first appointment as General Manager in 1996 at the Europa InterContinental Brussels. Since then he had several other key General Manager positions including the InterContinental Beirut, InterContinental Regency Bahrain and the InterContinental Yokohama Grand Japan. More recently he has successfully managed the pre-opening phases and post opening management of the Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa being the largest Jordan’s hotel by the number of rooms. Other career highlights include managing the third largest revenue generating hotel in IHG’s portfolio at that time - the InterContinental Yokohama Grand Japan.
Mr Pigeon stated that “My main goal at InterContinental Kiev will be to strengthen our hotel’s relationships with key business partners and the community, whilst effectively representing the InterContinental brand in Ukraine”.


InterContinental Kiev is part of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the largest international hotel chain by the numbers of rooms. The hotel is located in the downtown of cultural and business Kiev, next to Diplomatic academy, between Mikhailivsky Cathedral and St. Andrew’s Church. At InterContinental Kiev there are 273 rooms, including 8 suites, b-hush rooftop lounge bar, Comme Il Faut French restaurant, Olivera Mediterranean restaurant, I-SPA, six meeting rooms and one of the largest grand ballrooms among hotels in the city.
